Post Queue Monitor Question Reply with quote

Is it possible to view the queue monitor when
24x7 runs as a service? If I start a desktop
instance at the same time as the service, it
runs with notimer, and the menu option for queue
monitor is greyed.
Can you tell me if this is possible and how to do
it?

thanks

You can use Windows Explorer to monitor files in queue directories. The Explorer refreshes automatically whenever a new file is addedd or deleted. File names in queues match their job IDs.

Thanks for the info. Are these files supposed to be
deleted afterward? I have one queue folder where the files
are accumulating. In addition to the Q files there
are TMP files that have filenames like
JDQ70C.TMP. What do these do and should they go away automatically?

24x7 deletes .Q and .TMP files after executing jobs.

.Q files contain queued job description. .TMP files contain ectypted and compressed job definitions, scripts and other job data while job remains in the queue.
