The Remote Control COM interface as well as the Remote Control Java interface is tightly linked to the main scheduler "remote control" code. As a matter of fact both mentioned interfaces rely heavily on the functionality of the distributed network client component and only provide alternative interfaces and access methods for this functionality. For more info please check out "Overview" topic in the on-line help or in the user's guide (make sure to scroll to the last page of this topic where you can find "24x7 Scheduler Architecture" chart). BTW: Thanks for the spelling tip : Was the Remote Control interface written using the COM+ object : that's provided with software? I'm curious on how detailed : someone could code their own remote interface. : (FYI, there's a typo in the right panel of the RemoteControl interface. : Under the Properties tab, the Asynchronous property label is spelled: : Asyncronious)
