| 1. Manually copy of your job database file to some other place to have a backup. 2. Try to delete the original file manually and then click the Save button in 24x7. 3. If this fails again check what you have in the registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0\ScheduleFile
 key.
Please keep us posted : Hi, : (Sorry for the long post.) : I keep getting this frustrating error: "Unable to write to job database : file.
: File may be open by another instance
: or locked by other programs. Save Failed!"
: This started to happen after I used used : the Job Database Manager.
: Here is what I did to try to remedy: 1. Made sure file was not marked read : only.
: 2. Looked at the file properties, made sure "Everyone"
: had "full control". Made sure current user (an administrator) had
 : all rights.
: 3. Made sure no other 24x7 was running anywhere else.
 : 4. Rebooted machine.
: 5. After reboot, the file loaded and started executing jobs.
: 6. Tried to "save" and got same error.
: 7. Tried to "Save As" and 24x7 wouldn't even let me save to another
 : file.
: 8. Closed down 24x7 again. Made copy of the file via windows explorer.
: Started 24x7, opened the copy of jobs database. Even the copy was giving
 : me the same problem.
: I've never had any problems with this file before. : (I was able to save, and do all normal stuff.)
 : I'm stumped. : Robert
