Post MailSend with alternate "From" Reply with quote

Hi,

Is there a way to have the "FROM" field
in an email show up to the reciepient as a
friendly name as it does in Outlook? (e.g. John Doe
instead of JohnDoe@mydomain.com) It
seems like the only valid entry in the MailSend()
function is the Mail Account which is also used
as the "From" name. If not, is there a workaround?

Thanks,

Robert

Try "John Doe"

This should be specified as signle quoted value, for exmaple
MailSend "\"John Doe\" ", &
"\"Fannie Mae\" ", "Hello", &
"Here is my message"

I looks like I'm half way there. I tried your example,
however when the email arrives, it has the quote marks
in the senders name:

What I get...
"John Doe"

What I want...
John Doe

The reason I'm so picky is because end users key off
the recipient name to do some action with the email,
and I'm not sure if the quotes will mess them up.

Thanks,
Robert

Check if it will work without quotes. It is up to your email server to understand the recipient format.
