I have a job that is supposed to produce a semaphore file but it does not seem to.
The job ran OK but produced no semaphore. If I run it from the Run Now option it seems to work. Another job depends on this job being run.
The first job runs on a remote host/agent and the second job runs locally on the master scheduler.
I have tried naming the semaphore file myself and also using the dependencies graphical editor but it still does not work properly.
Where exactly does the scheduler place the scheduler files when you use the graphical dependencies editor ?
Is this happening because I am executing the first job on a remote agent ? It works running it manually that is what is confusing.

If file name does not include path, then the file is created in 24x7 home directory. I recommend to always specify full file names to avoid files being created in a wrong place. The reason you cannot find the semaphore file is that it probably gets deleted by the dependent jobs
