Is there a 24x7 Shutdown event?

Hi,

I don't see a 24x7 Shutdown based event...similar
to the startup event. I see that there is a System
Shutdown, but that is not the same as just shutting
down the scheduler. I need to log to a database when
the scheduler was stopped so our operations people
can be alerted.

Is there a workaround? Could you add this in a future
maintenance release?

There is no scheduler-level shutdown event. If you wish you can send an enhancement request for inclusion of this feature into future versions. Adding new trigger type requires a lot of changes so I guess it will be added only in 3.5 or 4.0 whatever comes first.
