After we installed 24x7 Scheduler 3.4.5, the job will run
one more time if there is another instance of 24x7 scheduler.
Since the 24x7 icon may hide, how to control that a job only
can be fired once at the same time even there are multiple
instances of 24x7 scheduler?

Thanks,

Stella

24x7 does not support multiple instances of the job engine and makes sure users cannot start more than 1 instance. What you see as multiple icons could be result of detached jobs. Detached jobs are run by spawned instances of the job engine.

We do get two 24x7.EXE in NT task list if there are two
instances of the 24x7 scheduler engine. At this case,
the jobs will run twice by each 24x7 engine. My question is
how to prevent a situation when the same jobs will be
started by different 24x7 Scheduler instances?

Do not look at the module name. If two people has the same name it does not mean they look the same and the opposite. So different instances of 24x7.exe can perform different functions.

"24x7.exe" is just the name of the main executable file. That's it. Depending on parameters 24x7.exe loads requested components and functions from many other DLL and LIB files.
Trust me 24x7 never runs two scheduling engines at the same time.
