I have a simple JAL script that uses FTPRenameFile
to change the name of a file on one of my FTP servers.

The file gets renamed but 24x7 returns an error -1
unknown command.

Try FTPRename instead of FTPRenameFile.

In any case if the error is still there you can use the following workaround:

OnErrorResumeNext
FTPRenameFile ...
OnErrorStop

Of course this is just a workaround.
