Post changing FTP transfert mode Passif - > Actif Reply with quote

Support, good morning

We're going from Dev to Test soon with a 24x7 script
transfering via FTP continously huge files (between
40 and 150 Mb).

Having for the momenty "speed" problems, I was asked by
system admin if the transfert mode could changed from
within the 24x7 environment (Using FTPConfig ??)

Thanks again for helping

Yes, you can use FTPConfig to set ASCII or BINARY transfer mode and also PASSIVE and ACTIVE connections.
You can also use FTPAppend and FTPResume to continue broken transfers.
You can also use FTPCommand to perform server-to-server FTP transfers bypassing the 24x7 machine. This is much faster in cases if you need to transfer files from server A to 24x7 and then from 24x7 to server B.
