I am trying to create a direcotry on another server using the DirCreate statement.
The directory creation fails when the path is defined as \\server\share$\newdir.
When a drive letter is assigned to \\server\share$ the directory can be created. In my
oppinion this can not be the way this option is to be used.

This is because of "\"

Change it to
\\\\server\\share$\\newdir
