I've asked this before but got no solution.
Whenever I go into the JOb Minitor screen and look at the jobs the screen freezes. ie I cannot go back to the scheduler screen or close the job monitor screen down.
I am accessing the server thru PC Anywhere and am using the lated release of PCAnywhere.
The only way I can get rid of the screen os to End Task the scheduler and start it again.
the Number of Handles is 649 in NT Task Manager for 24x7 and virtual memory usage for 24x7 is 31292K and VM Size is 27624K if any of that is of use to you.

What do you have for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\3.0\MonitorRate" value in the registry?

if I double-click on it it says :

That's the default number. Ok, please run 24x7 from the command line with /DEBUG option as "24x7.exe /DEBUG"

Try to start the Job Monitor. Please let me know if you get any error messages on the screen or in the job log.

I've done that and see no errors - it freezes again.
Where is the job log ? is it under c:\winnt\index.html ?
If so that did not get updated.

we run NT4

Here is what you need to do.
Run 24x7 from the command line as "24x7.exe /DEBUG /PBDEBUG"
This will produce a big trace file 24x7.dbg
24x7 will run very...very slow, it may take several minutes only to start up.
When the GUI will appear click the Job Monitor screen. Let it freeze. Wait several minutes and then kill the process using the Task Manager.

Please zip the trace file 24x7.dbg and email it to support@softtreetech.com. We will analyze the file, find out the cause of the freezing and and provide you with a fix.
