Post FTPGetFile Reply with quote

It looks simple but help needed

FTPGetFile( "10.27.74.xxx", "loginID", "password", "C:\\Testftp.txt", "C:\\TEMP\\Testftp.txt")

Error msg:
Download failed for "", The server has returned an extended error: 200 Type set to I. 200 port command successful.
550 C:\ocftp.txt: The system cannot find the file specified.
550 C:\ocftp.txt: The system cannot find the file specified.

What does "200 Type set to I" mean?

Thanks!

Mark

Why it complained about C:\ocftp.txt when you are trying to download C:\Testftp.txt? Are you sure you copied the right error message?

Thanks for fast response!

Download file was in the server 10.27.74.xxx C driver and file name ocftp.txt(Window NT). The file destination was in local C:\\Temp\\ocftp.txt

Is there any thing related with the server path string setting?

Regards

Mark

For FTP servers file path is usualy specified as a relative path not as absolute, for example.

..\mydir\ocftp.txt

The virtual "root" is your user home directory as specified on the FTP server.

If your user home dir is specified as c:\ftproot\myuserid then to access c:\ocftp.txt you would use "..\..\ocftp.txt" (2 levels up)

I downloaded trail version of 24x7 for evaluation a week ago. FTPGetFile and WebGetFile function looks like not friendly to me. Just like I said before. I start with some very basic stuff but it bothers me too much. I appreciate if you could just give me a real sample that is working! Any other possibilities or solution that could solve those tricks?

By the way, Email function works great!

Why don't you use a graphical template. The template wizard will generate all scripts and job properties as you click through.
