When we installed 24X7 on our Windows XP workstations we were prompted to overwrite msscript.ocx. We just included it in our image of the workstation to get around it. Now that we have received SP3 RTM we are getting the overwrite prompt on Windows 2000 Server. Since we do not have an image for our servers we need the installation to be silent.

Isn't there a switch to not install WSH. I think that will stop the prompt.

The switch is /NOWSH

That switch does not seem to keep the prompt from coming up.. Any one else found a workaround? We tried deleting the file before installing, but Windows File Protection put it back instantly!

That switch should work only if you run with /SILENT or /VERYSILENT option. Are you running with these options?

Do those options look OK?? even with the /NOWSH i get the prompt to overwrite msscript.ocx which seems to me like it is installing windows scripting host.

I believe last week support sent you or some of your colleagues a detailed message explaining what is wrong and how you can avoid the WSH installation. Please let me know if you didn't get that message.
