On some of the systems running a job that backs up logfiles, the job seems to hang. The Job Status box, with the gears, greys out and the 24x7 process has to be killed in Task Manager. This only happens on some systems. The job is simply one that moves and renames logfiles. It is running as asynchronous and detached on all systems, but it keeps anything else from running if it hangs like that. What could be causing this?

Disable the box with with the gears.

Correct me if I am wrong, the problem occurs only on very old WinNT 4 computers with some outdated system files. Applying service packs doesn't update all system files, it only fixes certain issues in some files.

So disable job execution status display in tools\options\log? And yes, I think they are all NT 4.0 systems.
