There are different reports and statistics. To view reports from the server (from the Reports menu) use 24x7 Remote Control. Your boss can install 24x7 on his desk and whenever he wants he can connect to 24x7 server using use 24x7 Remote Control and run/view these reports (just like you use a database tool to connect to the database). Do not forget to set the 24x7 to run in the Master mode on the server so it can listen for network connections. As a part of the remote session, the 24x7 Remote Control also grabs stats.log file from the server and copies it to the local computer. That file can be viewed in the Notepad or other text editor. To view HTML status reports first enable them on the server (Tools/Options/Log menu) and for the report destination choose some shared network drive or a web server directory. This will let your boss and other people to view real-time job status reports using just a web browser. To disable "24x7 Status" popup boxes (with spinning wheels) uncheck "Job execution status display" option in the Tools/Options/Log. By default this option is disabled. : Is it possible to view the reports on a remote agent based upon the Job : Statistics on the Master Scheduler computer? I turned on all reporting : options on the agent, but most of the report menu items are disabled. : (Scenario: Master Scheduler locked in computer room. Boss wants reports at : his desk.) Are reports only generated on Job Statistics generated by job : runs on the local machine? The help file doesn't seem to mention this. : Secondly (unrelated), How do you surpress those pesky "24x7 Status" : popup boxes (with spinning wheels) that appear when a program launches? : Shouldn't there something less obtrusive that doesn't interfere with your : work while using the 24x7 interface? : Still evaluating, : Robert
