I have a job that checks for a file and it it doesn't exist it waits 10 mins then resubmits itself.

I have kicked this off on the master scheduler but I can't do anything or click on any jobs as it must be because it is waiting 10 mins, how do I get around this so that it doesn't affect the console ? Should it be a detached job or something ?
