Post License question Reply with quote

I notice your pricing information speaks about a single installation and a site license. What exactly does a single installation allow/restrict?

TIA.

Single installation allows installation of 24x7 on a single computer and restricts using 24x7 APIs for building Web based interfaces (in other words, restricts using it as a full blown server with unlimited number of users).

Ok. Thanx for you speedy response and I have a couple more questions:

1. Is a clustered server seen as one or two computers?
2. Do the remote agents count as separate installations?

We actually would like to install 24x7 on our clustered server and have it not only be cluster aware but also optionally manage scheduling on another separate server remotely.

1. There is no clear definition exists how 24x7 is acounted on clustered systems. I believe that it should be seen as a single computer system becuase 2 mirror parts never work at the same time so you would need just one license.

2. Yes, there are. Remote Agent is actually a different run-time mode with the server portion turned on and scheduling engine turned off.

That sounds as you need 2 licenses.
