I'm excited about the VBScript option; allows me to leverage existing VBScript knowledge in the group. However...

1. Is it stable? Can it be relied on to completely replace our existing JAL scripts?

2. Is it fully Microsoft compatable? Any quirks we need to be aware of?

This greatly depends on which COM components you call from your job script. It's known that many COM objects cause resource leaking and some other problems, for example try running many times the Excel Automation sample job that call Excel COM server. That's why it is recommended that you run VBScript jobs "detached" so they do affect the overall stability.

Yes, it is 100% compatible because it uses genuine MS VBScript engine that we have licensed from them. See Help/About for additional info.

I know that there are generic VBScript issues, but I have four VBScript programmers available, and only one that has learned JAL. Hasn't been a problem, but the new VBScript option immediately gives me 4 four times the number of supprt personnel.
