It is not shipped separately, even more, it is not a separate program. It is just a different run-time mode of the 24x7. In other words, the "agent is included" means the 24x7 has built-in remote agent functionality. The command line for the agent is 24x7.exe /AGENT. It is up to you how you use the software. You can run it as a standalone application, as a master (server + event engine + job queues), as a remote agent (server part only), as a remote control (client part only). The agent's icon is provided for your convenience. Because of 24x7 flexible architecture combining both the server and the client pieces in a single program, you can build any distributed configurations you want using any topology schema. However, the license is based is on the installations (not on usage type), that's why every installation requires a separate license. Please see my previous message for more details. : Sorry for the misunderstanding, but why would you even ship Remote Agent with : a single license if I can't use it as it's intended without purchasing a : second license???? Am I missing something?
