Post SMTP Settings Reply with quote

I am trying to set up email notification, and I keep getting this error:

The mail server doesn't like the name "emailname@emaildomain.com".
Have you set the receipient address correctly?

I am sure that I am using a valid email address. Anyone have any clues as to what is going on?

Thanks in advance,
Sergio

Which domain name do you send to?

Do you have to logon to your SMTP server in order to send emails?
(Try changing default sender's email address in the Registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\2.0\SMTPSender")

Which version of the 24x7 Scheduler do you run?

: Which domain name do you send to?
I send to my personal/corporate email address. sergio.joseph@mycorp.com

I have provided a valid logon to the SMTP server.

Would this help? What should I change it to?

I have three production licenses but I am trying to get this working on a development server with a version 2.1.1 release.

Well... is there "@w" in your real email address.

You should change it to some monitored email address that will receive replies from your SMTP server when it cannot deliver a message sent from 24x7.

Why not to upgrade to the most recent version 2.4.10, since you you are working with a development version anyway?.
