Post Running jobs when files exist. Reply with quote

We are running 24x7 version 2.2 and have several jobs that run when files exist. They were working fine for about two months but recently several times they have not run even though the files do exist. If I then go in (after waiting several minuets for the job to run) and click on run now, it runs fine. If there are any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

If these are networked files check your network connections. May be your file server forcedly disconnects all clients every night or drive mapping has changed?

"Run now" triggers the job as it was fired by the job trigger. The trigger is bypassed and the job runs without checking for files.

The "Run now" does check for the files because if they are not there it will not run, but if they are there it will run. The files are local and not over the network.

Thanks

Nope, the "Run now" does not execute the trigger and does not check for the files. However, if you setup your trigger to "delete files" before run, the job
will attempt to delete these files and if they don't exist you should get an error message box. If they do exist then the job will run. This way you can verify file existance.
