We need to know the exact address as it appears in the script. Also, we need to know what email protocol you use and what sender name appears in the message. Your paging company may have a policy to reject messages if they don't know or don't like the sender address. Because this information may be confidential please send your script to support@softtreetech.com. : When one of my batch jobs has an error, I would like to send an email message : to the support person's alphanumeric pager. : The email address for the pager is formatted like : "9999999999@page.company.com" where "9999999999" is : the phone number for the pager. : For some reason, when I use the MailSend statement, the pager never receives : the email message (and nothing abnormal appears in the JAL trace log). I : have been successful in "manually" sending a message to this : email address by using MS Outlook. Also, if I make a temporary change to : the recipient variable to make it equal to my email address, I receive the : message. : The only thing I can think of that is different is the formatting of the : email address. Do you think MailSend has problems with email addresses : that contain more than one period? Or perhaps addresses that begin with a : numeric? : Thanks.
