Is there a date for the release of 24x7 version 2? I'm on project that can use the new functions in it and need to know if it will be available.

February 15

PS. in regard to "DDE to Acrobat", the default DDE timeout has been increased to 60 seconds.

With only a week left before release, has there been any decision on upgrade price (if any) from v 1.6x?? How bout the inconsistancies i saw when i installed the 2.0 beta. 1.6 would compile a script that i wrote, but 2.0 wouldn't. I would think it would be backwards compatible?

What beta # are you using (see help/about box)?
Can you post the script or portion of the script that you think is not compatible?

PS. v2.0 has stronger syntax consistency requirements.

Beta2, specifically, it errors out on this line:

Concat( "ex", @DP"yymmdd", file_name )

How bout the licensing upgrade charge?

The syntax check is performed before any macro-variable substitutions so the second argument @DP"yymmdd" does not pass the validation for JAL variable name or constant of any supported data type.

However if you change the script to
Concat( "ex", "@DP\"yymmdd\"", file_name ) everything will be fine and today it will be evaluated as Concat( "ex", "000109", file_name ).

The upgrade price is still unknown, I think it is being negotiated with resellers and distributers. However, the upgrade will be free for all who got the lincese after Jan 1, 2000.
