DBMail Error |
|
I am getting the following error; FATAL ERROR: Error5: Insufficient buffer size to read next message: required 2518, available 2048. I have read this error in this support, however, the suggestion was to use an HTML email with an attachment. Our email is a HTML email with an attachment. We have been sending these emails for some time and have had no problem until we changed the computer. We have change the physical DB computer and re installed DB Mail. Thanks for any help you can give.

: How are you connecting to your db? You are not using an ODBC driver, are you? In DB Mail in the option database tab it is configured to hit the database. I did not install this originally so I'm not sure what you do to connect to the data base.

Does it say there "ODBC" or does it say there "ORA...?" If it says ODBC please change the connection to the appropriate Oracle driver. Note: the selected driver version should match version of your Oracle client software installed on the DB Mail computer, not the version of the Oracle server. : In DB Mail in the option database tab it is configured to hit the database. : I did not install this originally so I'm not sure what you do to connect to : the : data base.

: See File/Options menu then on the Databases tab of the Options you will find : configured database connectins (Server, Driver, user, Password, etc..) I am using the "Oracle 8.04 - 8i - 9i" driver. This is correct for my version of oracle "8i". The DB Mail works for some messages, I only have a problem on some. I am connected to the oracle database.

If it works for some, there must be some common issue with the failing messages. Any idea what these messages have in common (subject, text, attachment types, attachment size)? How do you send these messages? Can you post fragment of your database code that actually submits messages to DB Mail? : I am using the "Oracle 8.04 - 8i - 9i" driver.
