I had asked the system admin to exclude JAVA.EXE from being blocked by the antivirus. If I changed the line in the .bat file from JAVAW.EXE to JAVA.EXE and hardcoded the JRE path and now the batch file works. I'm thinking JAVAW.EXE is blocked. I'm going to get the system admin to exclude JAVAW.EXE and then try again. btw I've copied MASTER.BAT and am making changes to the copy not the original... Now that they are whitelisted the original master.bat works correctly. Sysop, I appreciate your assistance. Thank you. (now on to the PRODUCTION servers...)
