Another crash with 4.8.39.0: if i CTRL+click on a view sqla tried to preview that, if it take long time sqla wrote:
"Executing data-preview query... please wait or close this tab to cancel execution"
then i tried to cancel closing the tab with the "X" button (near "Messages") but, after some seconds , sql server management crashed completely.
p.s: no news for the other error ?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear it crashed. That likely occurred while trying to cancel the query or close the messages window attached to SSMS, while SSMS at the same time tried to perform some concurrent action and that didn't go well. Do you have any error logs, Dr.Watson error, etc... that you can send to support for further analysis?
By default, the log file created by Dr. Watson is named Drwtsn32.log and is saved in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson

The fix for exception in TargetWndProc that I thought was universal and included with 4.8.39 build turned out to be non-universal. It was developed for DB Tools and affects some other Oracle related targets. It is still an issue for SQL Server related targets and it is waiting in a queue.
