Ok.. You did understand that there already is an GUI application(licensed) running on the machine I am trying to get the service running on and that the service(or running trough the command) does not find that file. On another server, the service started without any license file at all.
The running application uses "C:\Program Files\24x7_Scheduler\master.bat" start and it finds the license file and starts.

Try replacing "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_16\bin\java.exe" -Xms64m -Xmx96m -Xrs -jar "C:\Program Files\24x7_Scheduler\jscheduler.jar" with "master.bat nogui"
Please make sure you have a valid license for this system.

I didn't help(even though I edited master.bat to work outside its directory), at least in a service context. I got the exact same message.
I run the application with a gui on the same machine using master.bat. That should mean that the license is valid.
But it does work to run "C:\Program Files\24x7_Scheduler\master.bat" nogui . From the command line.
That starts the application(without GUI) without any errors.
The only time it does not work is when run as a service. Strange.
I have tried reinstalling it. Did not help. Interactive/non interactive does not matter.
Didn't help running as an administrative user either.

Anybody else have an idea what the problem is?

Attached screenshot demonstrates what I got in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\24x7jscheduler key. Is that what you got too?

I changed my settings so that they matched yours.
The only thing that differs are the paths in my AppParameter value:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_16\bin\java.exe" -Xms64m -Xmx96m -Xrs -jar "C:\Program Files\24x7_Scheduler\jscheduler.jar" nogui
One question: Since you don't have a path, somehow jscheduler.jar must be in the current directory? How does your service know where that is.
Is there some environment variable i should set?
An image of my registry settings(i have only changed the "start" value, which didn't help):

Hi,
Your screenshot and settings are fine. The AppParameters should have a path. If this still doesn't help, please enable the tracing option, restart the service and email resulting debug.log file to supportATsofttreetech.com for further analysis, or post here contents of the debug.log file if it is not too big.
Thanks
