[12.4.476 Pro] - BUG: Session Monitor SQL Server 2012 |
I tried to invoke the Session Monitor on an SQL Server 2012 and I got the following error message:
"The compatibility level of the current database is less than SQL Server 2008/R2. Switch to a different database and then start the Session Monitor, or change the database compatibility level of the current database to a higher number.
I've checked the compatibility level of the current database and it was 110 which corresponds to 2012, definitely not less than 2008/R2.

This may happen in case SQL Server returns an error with Msg 102, Level 15, State 1
Can you please try executing Session Monitor query from the Options with "minimum version 10" and see what is returning, and if you get a different error?

Hmm, interesting. I didn't have a Session Monitor query with a minimum version of 10. While the customized query I created ages ago was still there, the variant with the minver 10 of it was also missing, and the currently used one was reset to the factory one. I restored the one with min ver of 10, and that works properly. I'll just have to re-create the custom one with minver 10. I wonder what happened there... Nevertheless, thanks for the hint, it helped fixing the issue.
EDIT: by the way, I'm sorry for the false alarm.

No problem. If only all issues were that easy to resolve.
