What does this do exactly? If I set it to my preferred formatting style where I have leading commas, when the snippet is executed the commas ares till trailing until I hit Ctrl-F11 to format the code as I like.

Isn't the point of this to paste the executed snippet logic into the editor in the preferred format?

This option is used to apply code formatting to the code generated by a snippet. Kind of insert it and immediately do Ctrl+F11

I'm seeing the same behavior, it's not working for me. It looks like something has regressed. Thanks again for informing us. I just submitted a new ticket and hope it will be fixed soon

This feature must have done really bad things in the past to have such bad karma. It seems to break somewhere after updates every once in a while:

[SA 9.0.0144 Pro BETA] - Snippet content pasting]
[SA 9.1.261 Pro] - Snippet result formatting]
[11.0.25 Pro] - Bug: Formatting snippet results]
[11.3.279 Pro] - Code Snippet Code Formatting Style]

We investigated what happened and found out it partially regressed in 11.0 and after that unfortunately went from bad to worse and quit working completely. That's the bad news. The good news the intended behavior has been fixed. If that's the case and it does pass QA testing,. a patch will be released soon.
