FR: retrieve code from the result set tab |
|
Hovering the mouse over the tab of the result set shows the first few characters of the code that was run to get that specific result, and the rest is pretty much there because the context menu item Rename does retrieve it all. It would be nice to have another context menu item for the result tab that would put that onto the clipboard or push it into the current editor, instead of having to Rename and copy from there.

I didn't even know about that Rename trick. I only knew about Print Report to PDF to save the source query along with the results and then copy it from there.
With the tab still open, don't you already have the query in the editor? There is also Compare Script Revisions... menu that provides full history of changes in the editor tab, any historical fragment can be copied from there.

Alas, when the stuff is run from a snippet you have the query neither in the editor nor in history (either script revisions or execution history).

Indeed.
I will ask for an enhancement to add Copy method for the tab caption source query or object name, or whatever created the tab.
