[11.3.279 Pro] - Weird: Snippet trigger |
|
I get that showing the trigger for individual snippets might be helpful in some cases. However, including the name of that trigger mechanism in the actual name of the trigger and at the same time in the filtering process is a bit confusing.
Is that intentional or only an overlook?

Can I confirm couple of things so I can better understand the issue
You use 'Name Contains Characters from Key String, Order by Best Match" as the text matching method.
Was the popup demonstrated on the screenshot triggered by Ctrl+Space or so called "Last Char" typed?

Yes for the assertion and no for the question. I simply started typing the snippet trigger keyword as I always do. I mistyped a letter and that letter was not part of its name. Then I noticed that instead of removing the snippet from the list the character got highlighted in the (Last Char) part. After that I tried typing random character from Last Char. Can reproduce reliably. Check this short video here.

Got it. The video is super useful. I see that when it cannot find matching snippets by their names it starts matching the text in the popup including that (Last Chart) which is not even part of the snippet name.
