When comparing schema, there should be an option to ignore the schema name. Each compared object pair will have a difference in their create scripts (for tables that come in addition to each foreign key statements), meaning that it will mark all the otherwise completely identical objects as different.

There is an option in the Ignore section "Semantical schema differences" that is generally responsible for what you described above.

When comparing tables in two schemas, first tables are matched by name, schema name isn't a factor there. After that all matched tables are compared by their attributes, columns, constraints, storage parameters, etc... The code view available at the bottom simply shows the reverse engineered DDL and highlights textual code differences, that's just a complimentary view. The actual differences are shown in the comparison tree.

Yes, I've tried comparing schemas with that option both checked and unchecked. If by comparison tree you mean the pane above Code Differences, it marked the objects blue, or different, regardless of the state of the checkbox.

Just in case... if you expand a table shown in blue in the top tree, it should show specific folders with the differences, for example, Columns, and if you expand it further, it should show which specific columns it found different and why. It's kind of a drill-down interface.

Yes, that's exactly the feature I'd like to use but it marks tables as different it should not. It seems to 'forget' to disregard the schema name differences in foreign keys (the property Refer Table, to be precise). Can you check that one, please?

We are trying to get it fixed before the 11.2 maintenance release planned for the end of next week, but I'm not sure it will make it. Too little time is left for that, code freeze is in effect.

Don't bother with it then, no need to increase the risk of breaking something.
