SA 10 Install issue |
|
trying to install SA 10 beta.
it asked me to close a bunch of apps which i did, but there is one app i dont recognize called 'IBM Data Tools'.
there is nothing on my computer installed called that and i checked the foreground/background process and could find nothing that matches that name.
thoughts?
thanks,
steve

You can simply choose the other option, Don't close and continue.

In the step before it starts closing them, you have an option to close the apps or don't. Please select the don't option.

For IBM Data Studio it's looking for datastudio.exe. Please close that one or kill the process before running the installation. The reason is simply, it may have a SQL Assistant add-on installedi n it which may cause installation problems, that's why the application should be closed.

ahh - i do run a process called datastudio.exe, but that is Aqua Data Studio: definitely not an IBM product.

Coincidentally the executable names are the same. Glad we figured that out.
