[9.0.157 BETA] No update snippet after creation |
|
After creation of a Snippet, I need to close and reopen the MS SQL Management Studio to reflect these changes.

Refreshing the cache doesn't work?

There are several ways to add a snippet.
1. If you use the system tray icon to open the Options dialog, you may need to restart the target editors (not always) after your changes.
2. If in SSMS, you select top level menu SQL Assistant and then Optiosn menu. Then after settings changes you don't need to restart SSMS, they should be effective immediately.
3. Best method: in target editor, right click then choose SQL Assistant menu -> Code Snippets -> Add Snippet... or if need to update an existing one SQL Assistant menu -> Code Snippets -> Modify Snippets... no target reloading is required in this case too.

Thanks for the explanation.
Yes, in the past, I have always used the second option, but due to the errors with the previous beta, I started to use the first option. What I did was, relaunch the SysTray icon and now appears that the second option is working fine.
I will be doing more testing on it.
