24x7 authentication issue on AIX7.2

Good Afternoon:

My 24x7 version is 4.4.337 which is pretty old, but it works fine on AIX6.1 servers. I have a project to upgrade our SAS AIX environment from AIX6.1/SAS9.3 to AIX7.2/SAS9.4M3. I installed 24x7 master and agent on a test AIX7.2 server and bring them up successfully. As you can see, both ports 1097 and 1100 are active as shown below.

However, my 24x7 connection failed as screenshots shown in attached PDF file. “sas” is the account to run 24x7 master java service. Its password is validated with “su sas” command.

Inside the 24x7 log in the home directory of 24x7 agent, I have following authentication errors with both “PAM” and “FTP” password authentication methods.

Can you help me to figure out what’s wrong?

If the agent is configured to use FTP based authentication, please make sure the local FTP daemon is running on the agent system.
If the agent is configured to use PAM based authentication, please check the PAM Athen module has been installed. If not, please follow instructions in the readme file available in the agent installation folder.

We use PAM authentication since FTP is not allowed. I have asked my AIX adminstrator to install PAM package for me. Meanwhile, I checked perl modules and didn't see PAM module on current AIX machines:

The readme file should have URL link for where to download PAM modules for different systems.
You can also search on cpan.org web site for "Pam authen aix"
