[SA 7.1.244 Pro] - Sudden change of behavior |
|
I expect a change of behavior in SQL Editor when connecting to a MySQL Server. When I issued a USE mydatabase statement in 7.1.228 Pro I could see the context change reflecting in SQL Editor. After upgrading to 7.1.244 this no longer seem to work. Executing the statement returns without any error messages but the context remains unchanged.

Which connection type are you using? MySQLlib, ODBC, or ADO.NET?

I'm usually using ODBC but this one is not connection type dependent. I experience it with all connection types.

Thank you. We were able to reproduce that issue, it also affects SQL Server and Sybase ASE connections and isolated to database context switch via code execution now processed by a separate thread in a cloned connection. Hopefully a fix for that will be developed very soon.

Hmm, what do you mean by cloned connection? Is the clone dropped after execution? Isn't that going to negatively affect eg. session/connection dependent user variables (set during execution or in a snippet custom query but not existing afterwards)?

I'm not sure, but the related ticket has top priority assigned to it.
