So using the Repo Browser, why does "update workspace from database", not auto-refresh. If you don't use the blue arrows to update your "DB" side, the "update workspace from database" button does not see any changes.
It would stand to reason that if you are updating the workspace from DB it should check for changes?
It also seems if you want to update the workspace and commit, you cannot without going into the Repo Browser and using the blue update arrows.. there's no way to do this from a context menu?
Latest version of S.A, SQL Server 2008.

Please check the workspace path points to an existing folder in which work files can be created. If that folder doesn't exists, the Update Workspace won't work. The documentation says that the workspace folder must exists, if it doesn't, it can be created using Windows Explorer

It exists.
What about the fact update workspace from db doesn't seem to refresh the db cache.
