MySQL Workbench is not a pre-registered target.

Please read the provided documentation. It has all details on how to register new targets.

Sorry, it won't work with the documented method. The problem is in MySQL Workbench. The SQL editor in the Workbench doesn't implement standard Windows edit control messages and doesn't speak the same language as SQL Assistant.

Trying to add MySQL Workbench editor to SQL Assistant targets reports its class as WindowsForms10.Scintilla.app.0.33c0d9d, while doing the same thing to Notepad++ reports it to be simply Scintilla and SA does work with Notepad++. What does that mean? It seems (from its name) that they derived that class from Scintilla class. But in that case it should also inherit its ability to handle standard windows edit control messages, shouldn't it?

It is a different version of Scintilla based on .NET technologies.

We will be supporting MySQL Workbench in version 5.1. If you are interested in an early preview, please email to support and request one of the latest private builds.
