An entire chapter is dedicated in the manual and yet a lot of people do not know about them. This topic is no substitute for the documentation. This is just a very brief description of data adaptors and a list of adaptors available. DB Audit data adaptors are used to send collected database audit data to external data repositories and security services, providing easy integration with centralized enterprise security systems. Also, they can be used for audit data archiving. The following types of adaptors are currently available 1. File adaptor – sends database audit data to external text files 2. Windows event log adaptor – sends database audit data to local and remote Windows event logs 3. Syslog adaptor – sends database audit data to local and remote syslog servers. 4. SNMP adaptor – sends database audit data to network management consoles.
