Starting Job Queues |
|
I have just received a new computer at work and I'm struggling with something I haven't seen before. When I try to run a job manually, I receive a message in red on the "Run Job" screen which says "Job queues not started. Cannot run in Normal mode!"
When I created all the jobs that I use, I don't recall ever having to create or start a job queue and I can't find instructions on this in the on-line documentation. Can you please help me with this and also, can you explain if this is why my scheduled jobs won't run?
Thanks,
Shawn

When you start 24x7 do you get any messages? If yes, what do they say?
How do you start it?

I have 24X7 starting automatically when my computer boots up. The only thing I see on the screen after that happens is the "Tips" box. Everything seems to come up as it should.
Thanks,
Shawn

Sorry, I overlooked your last reply.
Please post the portion of schedule.log file since the last 24x7 start.. also please let us know if you have 24x7 running as a Windows service.

Okay, here's my story and I'm sticking to it. I did nothing different today than yesterday but now my scheduler seems to be working okay.
I have a different problem now that I'll post in a separate message.
- Thank you!

I think the other day you had multiple instances of 24x7 running and the instance you tried to use in GUI mode wasn't the first one and didn't allow you running jobs in normal mode.
