Java 24x7 API - Release Job issue |
|
Hi,
I am using the java 24x7 API to create our own console providing limited functionality. I am attempting to use the releaseJob method on a job that is queued and is of 'Held' status. However I currently get 'Job #33934 must be in awaiting start state.'. This is contrary to the API documentation which states 'The releaseJob method releases held jobs job and puts it back to queue according to job
priority. The job state changes to "awaiting start".'
Can you please confirm that this is a bug?
Thanks
Peter

This sounds wrong to me... "Release" should opposite to "Hold" - either the error message you are getting is wrong and misleading or the job state check is wrong. I will have an answer for you in a little while.
