SQL Server 2008 |
|
SQL Server 2008 (feb CTP and maybe in final vers too) has an Statement completion and Parameter information which interfere with SQL Assistant (you have 2 field selectors).
Maybe on install you could present to user an option to disable it.
Just an suggestion.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for this suggestion. We have actually considered that but decided not to do anything special. Other target editors supported by SQL Assistant like Toad, Apex SQL also support primitive forms of Intellisense. The SQL Assistant's installer doesn't attempt to check which targets are installed on the user system and which versions.
Similarly, for SSMS, there are way to many versions - 2005, 2005 Express, 2008, 2008 Express, VS variants, different CTP releases with and without Intellisense. It is just too much to have all this logic in the installer.
