Detached mode and queues are completely independent things. I believe you are confusing synchronous /asynchronous mode and detached. I suggest that you set for beginning all jobs to run synchronous and detached. If you want to run multiple jobs concurrently, create several job queues and assign different jobs to different queues.
Please make sure "Job execution status display enabled" option is always turned off. This option is there for backward compatibility reasons with 24x7 v1 and v2 and it is known to be source of many problems. It only works well on old Windows systems (Win 95/98). So please make sure it is off.
Hope this helps
: If I run jobs in detached mode won't it interfere with the job running at the
: same time..?
: I changed status of all jobs to detached once and it reall created the mess
: in job ques.
: One job got stuck in the que and blocked all others after that.
: Also in tool --> option I didn't find "show job status display"
: but I did
: disabled options "Job execution statitistics enabled" and
: ""Job execution status displayed enebled".
: I am not sure how it will affect the execution, but please let me know if
: this is not the
: option you mentioned. I will turn these back on. Also when 24X7 shuts down
: like this nothing is recorded
: in the status report.
: Thanks for quick response. I need to fix this issue by the evening today.
: Most of
: jobs run in the early morning and are failing for last three days.
