Hi,

we have the following problem:
we have a job runned when certain files are found, and the semaphore file is deleted befor job is runned.
Usually it works as expected, but last time the job was runned twice - accordin to logs the start date of both jobs was identical.
How is it possible and how can we avoid this?

Are there 2 job finish events as well? Are you sure the job run twice and it is not a problem with the log file?

This is not a problem with log file - this jobs runs sql procedure and it is clear, that it was run twice. Also, end time for this jobs is different

File is deleted before job run.
The version is 3.4.21.
I don't think this is the situation that the semphore file was created twice, because there is only one message
"semaphore found" and two messages "Job started".

I didn't mean that the file is created twice. I meant to say if the file is deleted or renamed after job run and the job takes a while to run, then the scheduler can find the same file again before the job is complete and will launch second job instance.

I suggest you upgrade to a more recent version 3.4.26. That version will not lauch new job instance while old instance is still running.
