Post Secure FTP/ASCII files Reply with quote

I know using the Secure Protocol will only download in binary format. Is there a way to convert a .txt file back to ASCII format?

Thanks,

Kevin

In binary mode files are transfered "as is." It is actually the ASCII tranfer mode that removes/inserts carriage returns after each line.

Anyway, you can surely do it after the transfer. Please read FileReplaceEx topic. It has an example for such conversion.

I've tried all of the examples that I could find on FileReplaceEx and FileConvert and still can't get it to work properly. I'm sure I'm just doing something incorrectly but now I'm at a loss.

Please post your script (replace user names and passwords with asterisks or other symbols)

We ended up using a different option for using secure FTP. What I forgot was that we have to upload confirmation files also. Thanks for all you help.
