Post null values for @V Parameters Reply with quote

I'm writing a script that is kicked off by receiving an email. That part works fine.

The problems occur when I try and reference the @VParams, like @V"subject" etc.
I need to get some details from the email message and all the @V params return null values.
I've tried using job related v params (@V"job_name"), and they work fine.

any suggestions,

thanks,
ian

These parameters can only be used in specific places. Where are you calling them from.

The job that refers to these params, has the criteria - "Run This Job When Certain Email Arrives"
I'm refering to them in the JAL script of this job.

The job successfully starts, but the macro params have null values after execution.

Try upgrading to a more recent version. What version are using now?

I'm running v3.4.13 now. Is this a known bug?

I don't know if it is supported in that version. I tested it today in 3.4.18 and it worked.

Can you post the syntax that you used,
or better still can you show all the code on how to assign a macro parameter to a string
so I can make sure my syntax is correct.

thanks

Dim my_variable, string
Set my_variable, "@V"subject""

or

Dim my_variable, string, "@V"subject""

or without using a variable

MessageBox "Just received new email with @V"subject" subject."
