Post error: mail server not responding Reply with quote

Can you offer any suggestions as to what is going on
here.

I have tried three separate instances of 24x7 running
a simple mailsend script. On each instance i keep receiving
the error message that the mail server is not responding.
We run numerous jobs sending out e-mail notification and all
are failing due to this error. I am able to ping our mail server
which makes me believe it's connected with some settings
within 24x7. Nothing has changed on these machines and at
the moment it's a mystery why this is happening. The main
machine has been re-booted but still the same error.

MailSend( "Scheduler", " ", "derran.beer@multex-uk.com", "TEST", "This is a test to e-mail DBServices mobile phones: please delete me" )

This was not related to 24x7, a mail server re-boot was performed and everything working normal.
