Post File not found Reply with quote

Hello,

I have just started using 24x7 scheduler and am
attempting to write a script using JAL, however
I can not get past the first hurdle!

I have been trying (very unsuccessfully) to execute
a dial-up networking shortcut that lives on my
desktop.

The line that I have tried to use are:

Run ("f9.lnk", "d:\profiles\craigw\desktop", dial_var)

However I am getting error 193 - %1 is not a valid win32 application

Please could you advise me of ways to run dial up connections.
I have looked at the example provided, however as I an using Win2K
the rundll command fails.

Many thanks Craig

f9.lnk is not an executable file name or a document like MS Word, it is a reference to some file or process (in other words, a shortcut).
You need to enter the actual file name. The comamnd line may also include any parameters. Also suggest that you check "Special ASCII characters" topic in the online help.

To make a dial-up connection without using any shortcuts you can use the RASDial function. Two examples for RASDial are also available in the on-line help file.
