Also, we used the same port number 10099 on the remote agent and main computer.

PS We are attempting to run the scheduler as NT services.

This problem is a result of network user permissions. User account running the 24x7 Master does not "see" the 24x7 Agent service running on another computer or has no permission to access resources on that computer.

Yes, but it still does not work either as a service or in interactive mode. I can't help thinking that as it works when we do a runnow, we do not have any problems with "rights". We use admain domain acounts

Again, this is not directly a 24x7 Remote Agent problem. This sounds as it is caused by insufficient privileges assigned to the user whose account is used for the connection.

Try the following to troubleshoot the place of the problem.
1. Start 24x7 Agent as a service. Check the schedule.log file to make sure the service is started. On the same computer run 24x7 Remote Control and try connecting to the Agent running as a service. If it does not work you have permissions problem.
2. If step 1 is OK, try connecting from 24x7 Remote Control running on another computer. Try domain admin account on the machine from which you make the connection if the first attempt is not successful
3. If step 2 is OK, run 24x7 Scheduler on the machine from which you can make the connection and submit a job to the 24x7 Agent
4. If step 2 is OK, try running 24x7 Scheduler as a service and submit the same job again.
