I have encountered some problems using semaphores. For example, I have 1 parent process with 1 child process with one semaphore file. The option to delete semaphore file after the run is selected.

I have discovered that the semaphore file is not deleted hence the child process keeps trying to restart itself. Why is the file not deleted?

Changing the option to delete semaphore file before each run, the child process still continually tries to restart even though the semaphore file has already been deleted. Is there any way to disable this function in the scheduler?

I would really appreciate any help on solving the problem of the semaphore not being deleted. Thanks....

Is there any error message in the job log indicating that the file cannot be deleted?
Is file locked by other process?

I have upgraded to the latest version of the Scheduler and the semaphore file problem has been fixed.

In version 2.2.0, under option "Delete files after run", the files were NOT deleted hence the child process kept trying to restart.

Under option "Delete files before run", the files WERE deleted but the Log Viewer still continued to locate the semaphore files.

The files were not locked by other processes and the error message in the log just stated that the semaphore files were not found.

Perhaps in the latest version, this bug has been fixed. Anyway, everything looks to be working under version 2.3.1 so I am happy.
